The Broken Glass

It was sometime in Feb or March 2007. Me, K and M where out of our office cubicles for a cup of coffee.. Fooling around, giggles and gossips comes free with a cup of coffee together :-).. I dont remember what we were talking as we three never used to talk any sense when together.. But i remember the broken glass. Our office is a very transparent organisation. No no, dont jump into conclusions. I am not talking about the office being transparent on the business front, but just trying to illustrate its architecture :D ..You can find glass everywhere.. Even the Gym has glass walls (!#@$#) .. We are lucky that the rest rooms are not that transparent :D.. Back to the broken glass. We three where staring at on of the glass wall which was broken..It was broken but it didnt fall..It was standing still with countless cracks.. Every crack was adding on the beauty of the glass..or was it proving the proverb "Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder"..In that case if had three "beholders" :D... We were admiring and K said "Yaar Rathi, Why dont you write a poem on this???"... We got back to our respective cubicles.. K and M got into their own works and i got into mine... I ended up writing a poem.. in less that 10 mins..or was it 5?? I dont remember...and here is the poem -

It was invisible like the wind
Felt its presence only when touched
But it never made my eyes get glued
Till a change brought in the big difference
The glass was broken, not in pieces
It stood there still, unshaken from its home
Every crack on it adding on to its beauty
Every bizarre shape defining a peculiar design
Plain glass's loneliness vanished in a jiffy
For the broken glass had strange companies
Broken glass with united pieces, enlightened me
Importance of life is unseen till a change strikes
When sorrows laugh and challenges smile
Stand like the broken glass, never fall
For life is just taking a different shape
Same life but a different way
For life is sure complicated, a complex maze
Just to make you realize its beautiful in its own way!!
